About Mr. Fox

Hi, I’m Mr. Fox. You can call me Fox or Mr. Fox, and my pronouns are he/him.

Thank you for taking the time to look through my website.

I have been providing clinical mental health services since 2010 & have experience providing outpatient therapy as well as intensive in-home family therapy.

The majority of my experience is in-home. I would work with the entire family, individually & together, to process & progress toward personal & family goals. This often included improving communication, conflict & crisis resolution, independent daily living skills, social skills, & strategies & skills for the whole family to continue their shared & individual growth long after our work was done.

I prioritize authenticity & meeting every person & family where they are; as they are. I encourage clients to engage in whatever ways feel comfortable, and I highly value lived experience and the client’s perspective on their mental health, their goals, and how they want to interact. I assist clients age 5 to adult in working toward their best lives & best selves with authenticity & intention on a daily basis.

I have my Bachelor of Sciences in Family Studies as well as a Certificate Degree in LGBTQIA+ studies from the University of Maryland. I also successfully completed all required academic & clinical requirements to graduate Virginia Tech’s Marriage & Family Therapy Masters program minus a defended thesis. Unfortunately, Fibro & finances forced me to withdraw before completion.

I use a variety of approaches in working with clients, including a mixed media method. Using a combination of video calls and private text communication, I’m able to facilitate some of the benefits of in-home work which further benefit follow through and consistency as well as behavioral change and crisis management. In terms of clinical perspectives, I enjoy the 3B’s, Bowen, Bowlby, and Bronfenbrenner. I enjoy using aspects of cognitive-behavioral, emotion-focused, acceptance and commitment, internal family systems, and play frameworks.

In terms of larger perspectives, I am Social Justice inclined and believe Black Lives Matter. Queer and LGBTIA+ affirming. Trauma-informed and Aware. Fat & Body Positive. Disabled. Autism Spectrum & Neurodiverse empowering, Sex Positive. Learning Male Feminist.
